7 free Clip Studio Paint (Manga Studio) brushes by JonSimpson 7 free Clip Studio Paint (Manga Studio) brushes by JonSimpson
Hey guys. This is a small collection of my brushes that I've created for Clip Studio Paint over the past ten months. Pressure settings might need to be adjusted for your own devices, as these were created on a Surface Pro 3.

Bristle Block In: Works really well for general painting, and in particular for creating soft atmospheric gradations. Best used above 80 pixels. On my surface pro 3 it operates at 200-250 pixel size without having lag issues.

Prisma-Gone-Oil: I scanned a verithin pencil and used the subsequent image to create this and the verithin brush. This one works quite well for shading, leaving just a bit of texture when built up over multiple strokes.

Prisma-Gone-Oil Digital: Same as the above, only without color mixing.

Chaos Bristle: One of my favorites. This brush is a bit crazy, and can create multiple effects. Could be used for applications requiring a bit of chaos, or for interesting special effects.

Verithin: Sampled scan of verithin pencil stroke made into a digital pencil.

Jaggy Concept: Another one of my favorites. I typically use this when thumbnailing, trying to create ideas, or speedpainting. It produces some nice jagged rock effects.

Can I just say I'm in love with the chaos bristle, I've been searching for a decent fur brush and who would of thought I would find one without even searching anything fur or hair related.
To say the least the chaos bristle makes for a great fur brush, thank you very much for making these and offering them for free!

And they were made on surface pro to boot :D

I notice when I deselect mix ground color the brush reverts to black rather than the color I have selected, it there a way around this?
Been tinkering with the settings and haven't ran across a selection that will adjust this.

TIA

Sorry, don't get on here much. IIRC, it's because of how I saved the brush head. I think you can fix it by saving out the brush stamp in either grayscale, or monochromatic modes. I can't remember which fixes it, but if you mess around with saving the brush stamp in various modes you should find a fix.

Also, thanks! Glad to hear you like it. It's definitely one of my favorite brushes.

Yeah I think so, because that seems to be a fix for my other brushes that do something similar.
Thank you c:

Any way of getting these to photoshop? Like the effects working the same way?

Sorry, don't check deviant art much. I'm honestly not sure. You could try to extract the brush stroke and save it as a PNG to send to photoshop, but you wouldn't be able to keep the exact same settings. The brushes over there would work quite differently.
